The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society has played a leading role in the development of agriculture and the rural economy in Wales for over a century, since its formation in 1904.
As a registered charity, the Society’s work involves providing support for business, social welfare and education in rural communities, and the organisation of the ever‐popular Society events; the Smallholding and Countryside Festival, the Royal Welsh Show and the Winter Fair.
With such deep roots in Wales it was a natural next step for the team to decide to secure their very own .wales and .cymru domains.
Like many other organisations adopting Welsh domain names, their website is often the most important link between them and their customers, and the Welsh domains let customers know who they are and where they’re from.
“We are a fully bilingual organisation and wanted to be able to be identified as such in all available aspects of that. A .wales domain reinforces that as a strength within the Society’s brand identity”, says Steve Hughson, Chief Executive, Royal Welsh Agricultural Society.
