Below are a range of credible third–party statistics and their sources. Please feel free to use any of these stats in your communications, but please ensure you properly reference their source. 

Internet, website and Business statistics (2020 – 2021)

• 29.5% of people aged three or older were able to speak Welsh. This figure equates to around 892,200 people.¹
• Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Wales accounted for 62.6% of employment.²
• 46% of consumers completed a new online purchase that they previously only ever purchased in-store.³
• In 2019-20, 90% of people used the internet.⁴
• 54% of global shoppers find browsing for new products more enjoyable online than in-store.⁵
